Three great trips.

Well this has been a busy week for me with charters on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. I want to thank everyone who went. We had a great week. The trout fishin was fantastic all together we probably caught 200 trout in three days. We also caught a few redfish one of them was almost nine pounds again. The bait is scare out by the naples and Marco tripods. I have just been sticking with my winter time patterns. if you are out there having a hard time with live bait swithc to jigs. Use the Berkley gulps with a red or white jig head. Here is a picture of the Redfish Mike caught on Wednesday.

Great Trip!

Had a great trip two days ago with four gentleman from the Minnesota area. We started out with some small trout and ladyfish. We caught quite a few. Then moved to another spot of mine and got into the big boys. We caught numerous 22 to 24 inch trout. They were laying up in a foot of water trying to get warm it was quite a site to see them take that jig. Then towards the end of the day we went to one of my snook holes and ended the day with ten or so nice snook. All and all we had a great day and everyone had fun.

Started off the morning with some nice trout and ladyfish. Then we moved back into one of my redfish bays and saw some nice ones. The water was super shallow and they saw us before we saw them. but i will be back to catch them next week when the water is a little higher. Until then tight lines.

Hungry Reds!

What a great day today. The weather was perfect and the water was clear. Went out for about two hours just to scout one of my redfish spots and boy were they there. Nothing like sight fishing for over slot size hungry redfish. We were throwing gulps at these bad boys and they were aggresive. The warm weather has really woken them up. I have attached a picture of one of the reds we caught today. I cannot wait till tommorrow.

CCA tournament!

Today was the first CCA tournament of the year. There was a good turnout and the weather was great. We had a good showing with two nice redfish. These tournaments are held the first sunday of every month. Artificial lures only. I encourage everyone to join CCA and fish the tournaments. Looking forward to next month and bringing home the win.

Cold weather fishin' 01/05/08

Had a great trip today with Dr. Eagle and boys. The Fishin was a little tough today. Went to my trout spot but they did not want to cooperate. It took awhile but when the sun popped out of the clouds the bite turned on. We caught alot of ladyfish on lite tackle and actually caught 6 snook also. That was a nice surprise. If you are fishing this time of year use your winter time patterns. White 3 inch gulp shrimp with a red head have been producing trout, ladyfish, redfish, and snook. Good luck and tight lines.
